Snow Day

Spokane just got the most snow it has ever had in a 24-hour period. That means Riley's school is cancelled (his school district hasn't cancelled school in ten years) and the City is pretty much shut down. Adam's been getting exercise by shoveling the walks AND the entire driveway.

Oh - and it's supposed to snow all this week. Fun times!

It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to!!!

Well I cried when the kids came home anyways. I had an awesome birthday. Adam got me this chair. I love it. Adam and I have a tradition when it's your birthday you don't have to change DIAPERS!!! Yes love that. Well my morning started out with Adam and the kids making me breakfast in bed, then Adam had arranged for the kids to stay at his parents house Friday night and all day Saturday. So we went to Clinkerdaggers (my favorite restaurant) and saw a movie. It was so nice being by ourselves. Usually I start to miss the kids after a few hours but not this time I was loving it! Then we went shopping Saturday, which for Adam was a huge deal because he hates shopping. But we had to cut it short cuz it started snowing pretty good. So then we had cake and Ice cream at Adams parents house and Yes we did bring the kids back! So it was a real nice weekend. I still have some shopping to do next week!!!

3 little monkeys jumping on the bed...

I don't know what it is about our bed maybe because we have it on the floor I don't know but our kids LOVE jumping, running, wrestling, dancing on it. Adam got the camera out and every time Owen would look at the him he would say "cheese" it was so funny. and yes yes Owen is still a drooler!!!

Fred Thompson For President

We endorse Fred Thompson for President. He's the one true conservative running for President, and the best qualified to run our government properly.

VOTE FRED!!!! (yes, I'm looking at you, Lorna...)

What would we do without Uncles!!!

When Colin and Tanner come over the kids talk them into playing with them. What ever they want Tanner and Colin play it. Although secretly I think they enjoy it.

Snow Day

Well we got 7 inches of snow the other day!!! blahhh! We already had a few inches of snow on the ground. So after all that snow we had a couple of more inches! This is the most snow Spokane has had since we've lived here. Out of all the years we've lived here and all the snow we have now there still wasn't any snow on Christmas. Well we did have a little bit but it was almost all gone so that doesn't count. I love to look at the snow but I DO NOT like to drive in it. So I get mixed feelings when it snows. The kids and Adam love it though. If it were to snow just on Christmas Eve stay for a few days so the kids can sled and play in it then it can melt and never come back. I'd be happy with that. They, Including Adam did have fun making a snowman. Owen wanted to come out so bad but he doesn't have snow clothes so he had to watch for the door. Paige got a little attached to the snowman. She named it Gerold! Don't ask me where she got that name I have no idea. Well Gerold was melting and when Paige saw that Gerold's head fell off she screamed and got all sad. It was kinda funny!

At the Cabin

After Christmas Adam and I, Melissa and Trent, Melanie and Tyson, Andy and my parents all stayed at a cabin in Wyoming at the Teton Mountians. It was a lot of fun, a lot of work but fun! We had to snowmobile into the cabin. It was not fun when you had to drive to the cabin at night when it was like 5 degrees out and with the wind in your face, burrrrrrr!!! Owen didn't like it much. He cried every time he heard them. The kids rode in a sled behind the snow mobile. They loved it.
Owen loved baby Ruby. He was always kissing her and just looking at her. It was so cute.

Owen did not like the snow boots he had to wear. He couldn't stand or walk in them. He would crawl around and cry looking at me wanting me to help him up while we just took pictures and video laughing. It was mean but we got great pictures and video!

There was a hill that we went sledding on. The picture doesn't do justice it was so steep and long. When I went down, naturally the heaviest part, which of course is my butt!!! It kept hitting the ground and I got a ton of snow down my pants. I screamed the whole way down. It was so fast I didn't have time to think if I was going to hit a tree or fly off. It was fun none the less. The kids pretty much went sledding everyday and the guys went snowboarding with Riley and Brooklyn. A word of advise if you ever have to sleep in the same room as Nash, don't!!! He likes to talk just like his mommy, he doesn't know when to be quiet! Brooklyn choreographed a dance that the kids all preformed New Years Eve. That was fun to watch. And believe it or not Riley actually danced in front of everyone. So anyways that's how we spent our Holiday's.

Just for fun...

I thought this picture was so funny I had to post it.

Christmas morning

In my family growing up we had a tradition to sit on the stairs oldest to youngest and take our pictures before we go down stairs to open the presents. It was torture sitting there. So now I've picked up the tradition. After I'd take the pictures the kids practically run me down to get to the presents. In our house Santa brings them one present each unwrapped. So they see those presents first. Owen this year had a Elmo Christmas. I think out of all the presents he got 2 presents that weren't Elmo. The kids had a lot of fun. This year my parents and Andy came for Christmas. The days leading to Christmas we stayed up until 1 or 2 in the morning playing games. It was a lot of fun.
