King for the day!!!

Well yesterday Owen turned 2! He kept saying "me burday" I think he knew he was the king for that day! He had such a big day. A little weird thing about Owen...he loves taking showers! (which doesn't bother me the cleaner the better) So of course he started the day with 2 showers! He would've ended the day with one too but he was so pooped! He watched his favorite movies...Nemo, Jungle book 2, and then Elmo. Then we took him to Wendys for lunch, he loves french fries and coke! He opened up one of his presents before dinner so he could play with it outside with the kids. Then his mema came and gave him more presents. He loves his mema, every time a white car drives by our house he says "mema here?" So having her come on "his" day would have probably been enough. Then we went to a park down town and let them run around a while then we came home and had his favorite dinner spaghetti! He was so tired by the end of the day. He usually has a 2 hour nap but today was just to busy. (Sunday we're having a family party so I'll post pictures with him and his cake then.)

Paige stole his scooter from him and he ran after her and got so mad!

Today I love...

I love this mirror. I got it at Ballard Designs clearance store. In the catalog with the mirror already in it was 300$ I got it for 30$ without the mirror! I got lucky cuz my mother-n-law had a mirror already so I had a window shop put it in for me and that was 12$ so my Ballard Design mirror only cost me 42$!!! The only problem was that when they put the mirror on they didn't leave room for nailing any hooks on the back so Adam had to make a shelf for it. I know it's a little high but once we get our box spring it'll be perfect! I love it!!!

I'm not a dog person!!!

OK so Colin and Annie came over Sunday for dinner and they brought their new dog! Riley and Paige loved him. They got out there noodles and the dog would attack it. The kids thought it was so funny. Well Owen on the other hand did not like the dog. If the dog just looked at him he cry.
Riley liked to chase Owen around with the dog. Before the chase....
...after the chase!!! Brothers are so mean!

A friend of mine gave this to me and I just love it. I've been wanting one for a while and never found one. Paige loves it too! So thank you Emily. It goes perfectly in my Shabby Chic room.

Back to School!!!

Today was the first day of school for Riley AND Paige. Crazy to think that Paige is in school, but she's totally ready for it. She was SO excited last night - she kept saying she wished "it was tomorrow already!"

Riley, of course, was a different story. He's not a huge fan of school, even though he does really well. He woke up this morning and said, "Nobody say the "S" word!" But you could tell that deep down, he was a bit excited. He kept telling Paige what to expect and where to go, and they planned to meet each other when school was over.

When we got to school, Paige was ready. She looked a bit nervous, but we have no doubt that she'll make a ton of friends in no time. Can't wait for her to come home and listen to her stories about her first day of school.

As for Owen, he's home alone. We are looking forward to that - although we are afraid he'll get a bit bored. But in any event, it's time to party - the kids are back in school!!!

holiday fun...

OK so the holidays are coming and if your like me I have to make something for that holiday and if your like me you have to start now or it won't get done. So this year for Halloween I'd thought I make this sign and buckets with branches. They are so easy to make and cheap! (a lot cheaper then buying them from pottery barn where I got the picture from)
For Christmas I want to make this Count Down to Christmas board by using family pictures. My mom has given us a picture of her and my dad when they were kids sitting on Santa's lap so I thought those would be cool to use.
This is just something I thought would be fun to make.
