Spokane in the movies...

I got this from a friends blog. I had no idea Spokane was cool enough to be in the movies!!! It looks really run down though they didn't show the better parts. Well ok Spokane has a lot of white trash parts but down town is pretty, with all the old buildings. The park with the pond and the ducks is Manato park. Thats the park we go to when we have family come to town. Anyways check it out. Its kinda fun to see. http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/athousandyearsofgoodprayers/

Today I Love...

...this bracelet I made for myself. I found this in my childhood box. I have no idea where it came from but I love it so I just made it into a bracelet. It might be from the dutch store or Holland who knows.

Garage sale finds

OK so I haven't gone to garage sales all summer but there was one I could not pass up. The sign said "shabby" so of course I went. Well these are my findings. I love looking at them.

There is a blog I visit on a regular basis, by an interior designer and she starting posting about "favorite things." Weekly she puts up pictures of pretty things from other people. I love that idea so I thought it would be fun to do that on my blog. So what ever I thought was pretty to look at that day I'll post it. It might not be daily but maybe weekly or just a few times a week. It might even be a good idea that I saw somewhere too. So stay tuned!!!

Young Womens...

OK so last week for YWs I had the girls come to my house. We made cookies and brought them to a inactive YW, played killer uno and then toilet papered the bishops house. It was so funny. I brought Paige with us and if you know Paige she likes to talk! So the whole time we kept trying to get her to be quite so we wouldn't get caught. She did a pretty good job. I can see a career in toilet papering for her when shes older. I'm so proud! She tore off little pieces and just throughthem around. Well so there neighbors came home while we were in the middle of toilet papering and we heard them talking about us. So we dropped everything and ran to the car. Then the dogs started barking and Paige got so scared she tried to run fast but she had her flip flops on. So I was trying to help her run fast, half carring her half making her run. It was pretty funny. Paige thought it was so fun, once we were save in the car! Well the next day Paige had a doctors appointment. The night before we all told her not to tell anyone in the ward. Well she obeyed she didn't tell anyone in the ward but she told her doctor who ended up being the bishops neighbor!!! Yeah go figure! So he said something to the bishop. He had an idea it was us anyways, being on a Wednesday night totally gave it away. So Sunday when we walked into sacrament Paige looked at the bishop and she says "mom the bishop looks mad." (he wasn't) then his counselor gets up and says "the bishop has something to say". You should have seen Paige's face it was pretty funny. She leans over to me and says "hes going to say something to us." (he didn't). He was never mad. He came in to YW with toilet paper in his pockets to say hi to the girls. It was all good fun. The only thing he said was they made cookies and they didn't leave me any! So last night for YW we made him his favorite cake and forked his counselors house. We did it in the middle of the day because they stay up late and they're gone during the day. Riley wanted to come this time. He heard how much fun Paige had he wanted in on it. So now the kids (Paige and Riley) want to toilet paper every ones house. You better watch out YOU might be next!!! ha ha ha ha!

What were we thinking...

Riley invited 2 of his friends for his 1st sleep over the other night! Yeah what were we thinking...my thoughts exactly!!! Paige felt pretty left out so I was like what the hay have Hailey come too! So we had 6 kids. Luckily only one was able to spend the night. It started out fun (for the kids) they wanted me to pick walnuts from our tree for them so they could use them as bombs. Boys! Then they got the noodles out to play sword fight, why the noddles when he has a basket full of swords up stairs, I don't know like I said, boys! So we got pizza for dinner and I don't think I've heard more arm farts in my life. At least they were having fun. You know the saying boys are stinky...well they are. In our house its usually Paige but that night I walked into the playroom and had to walk right back out, it stunk so bad! Of course they thought it was funny.

Breaking Dawn is here!!!

OK so last night some of us (and my mia maid) went to the Braking Dawn release party. Adam called it a "Nerd party!!!" Whatever! It was fun. Driving to Barns and Nobles we were all pumped up like we were going dancing or something (we all went dancing at a club a few nights back and it was soooooo fun!) When we got there they put wrists bands on us so when they called our letter we could get our book. There were girls there that painted their skin white to look like vampires. Other girls had evening gown dresses on. There were girls that had Team Edward and Team Jacob shirts. One shirt (picture above) was my favorite, Kate Cullen I like my men cold dead and sparkly...bite me! There were different activities: Twilight Trivia, songs, poetry inspired by Twilight, prom sash making(we did that one) chess game and if you one you got a pair of fangs, paper flower making (we did that one too, my colors represents Edward, silver for his shinny skin and gold for his eyes. Can you say "obsessed!!!") They had romantic adages by Alice and a love quiz, costume contest and a count down to midnight. During the count down there were girls screaming and cheering, it was kinda funny. The first girls that got there books stood by the door and jumped up and down screaming. When we left there were people sitting out on the side walk reading already. I haven't actually started mine yet cuz I know if I do I won't stop and I have some things I need to get done. Oh they had Twilight inspired specialties drinks with pretty fun names:
Edwards Kiss...cold & sweet! A raspberry mocha smoothie topped with a kiss!
The old Red Chevy...Cinnamon Dolce Lotte with whip cream and red hots.
The Crystal Heart...Vanilla bean smoothie with whip cream and red crystal topping.
The paper cut...Strawberries and cream smoothie with whip cream and strawberry sauce topping.
Jacob's Howl...A double chocolate chip smoothie with whip cream and furry crushed cookie topping.
We were so tired when we got back I didn't even take my makeup off I went straight to bed.
